29 décembre 1938 - 16 janvier 2026 À l’Hôpital Trillium de Mississauga, le 16 janvier 2026, est décédé à l’âge de 87 ans Michael Bingle, époux de Madeleine Lefebvre. Il était le fils de feu Arthur Bingle et de feu Helen Hunter. Originaire de Grand-Mère, Michael Bingle demeurait depuis 2021 à Toronto avec son épouse, chez sa fille Terry Ann et son conjoint Mike. Homme de cœur et de foi, Michael aimait découvrir le monde, connaître les gens et partager de belles conversations. Sa force spirituelle, sa sensibilité et son humanité ont inspiré tous ceux qui l’ont connu. Professeur d’anglais auprès de plusieurs générations d’élèves à l’école secondaire Du Rocher, à Grand-Mère, il était animé par une véritable passion pour l’enseignement. Au-delà de la transmission des connaissances, il s’attachait à éveiller chez ses élèves la curiosité et le goût d’apprendre. Jusqu’à ses toutes dernières années, il évoquait avec nostalgie ses belles années d’enseignement et les liens qu’il avait tissés avec les élèves et ses collègues. Il laisse dans le deuil son épouse Madeleine Lefebvre, sa fille Terry-Ann Bingle (Michael Blanchard) et son fils John Kenneth Bingle (Nathalie Beauchamp). L’ont précédé son fils James Stephen, son frère Réginald (Roger), ainsi que ses sœurs Mary, Dianne et Margaret. Il laisse également dans le deuil ses frères et sœurs : Dorothy (feu Jean Grégoire), Robert (feu Louise Lafrenière), Patricia, Kathleen (feu Charles Haskell) et George (Micheline Pelletier); sa belle-sœur Isabelle Pellerin (feu Jean-Jacques Lefebvre), ainsi que plusieurs nièces, neveux, cousins, cousines et ami(e)s. Une célébration religieuse aura lieu hors province le dimanche 1er février 2026. Toute marque de sympathie peut se traduire par un don à la Société Alzheimer du Québec. ————————————————————————————— At Trillium Hospital in Mississauga, on January 16, 2026, Michael Bingle, husband of Madeleine Lefebvre, passed away at the age of 87. He was the son of the late Arthur Bingle and Helen Hunter. Originally from Grand-Mère, Michael Bingle had been living since 2021 in Toronto with his wife, at the home of his daughter Terry Ann and her partner Mike. A man of heart and faith, Michael loved exploring the world, getting to know people, and enjoying meaningful conversations. His spiritual strength, sensitivity, and humanity inspired all who knew him. An English teacher to several generations of students at École Du Rocher in Grand-Mère, he was driven by a genuine passion for teaching. Beyond the transmission of knowledge, he sought to awaken in his students a sense of curiosity and a love of learning. Until his very last years, he would recall with nostalgia his teaching days and the bonds he had formed with his students and colleagues. He is survived by his wife Madeleine Lefebvre, his daughter Terry-Ann Bingle (Michael Blanchard), and his son John Kenneth Bingle (Nathalie Beauchamp). He was predeceased by his son James Stephen, his brother Réginald (Roger), and his sisters Mary, Dianne, and Margaret. He also leaves behind his siblings : Dorothy (the late Jean Grégoire), Robert (the late Louise Lafrenière), Patricia, Kathleen (the late Charles Haskell), and George (Micheline Pelletier), his sister-in-law Isabelle Pellerin (the late Jean-Jacques Lefebvre), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. A religious celebration will take place outside the province on Sunday, February 1, 2026. Donations, in his memory, may be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
